aespa’s Karina Praised for Kindness on Set by Child Actor’s Mother

aespa member Karina is receiving heartfelt praise for her kindness behind the scenes, as a touching story from a filming set has recently surfaced online.

On December 15, the mother of child actor Lim Si-hyun shared her experience on social media after her son worked alongside Karina during a recent shoot. Lim Si-hyun appeared as the child version of actor Byeon Woo-seok in an original YouTube project produced by the popular creative studio Dolphiners Films (돌고래유괴단). The project also featured appearances by IVE’s Jang Wonyoung and Karina.

According to the post, Lim’s mother expressed that she had been “itching to tell everyone” about the experience ever since the shoot. She recalled how Karina remained considerate throughout the filming, especially given the cold weather.

“Even though it was freezing, she kept worrying that Si-hyun might be cold,” the mother wrote. “She insisted that he use her personal heater and took care of him nonstop. Si-hyun wasn’t in the best condition that day because of the cold, but Karina stayed by his side and looked after him until the very end of filming.”

The moment held even more meaning because the shoot happened to fall on Lim Si-hyun’s birthday. His mother shared that her son described the experience as the best birthday gift he could have received—being on set with Karina.

She also added that Si-hyun played a role humorously described as “the Byeon Woo-seok character raised by Karina,” expressing how honored they felt to be part of the project.

The video featuring Karina was released on YouTube on December 15 as part of “Shin Woo-seok’s Urban Fairy Tales,” an original year-end content series directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shin Woo-seok of Dolphiners Films.

As the story continues to circulate online, fans have been praising Karina not only for her on-screen presence, but also for her warmth and professionalism behind the camera—qualities that further solidify her reputation as a beloved figure in the Korean entertainment industry.
